Although coconuda is an Italian franchise we had no guidelines or limitations with respect to design. We created a design that would reflect the brands young image whilst fitting the shop requirements within the restricted height of the property and the limited area available. Structural alterations were made to be able to maximise the use of space.
The design starts at the shopfront whereby the angular high contrast facade cladding draws attention to it from bisazza street. This angle acts as the fulcrum of the shops lines that flow into the shop and shape the carefully detailed hanging display. The main aim of the colour scheme was to create a neutral platform that could act as a background for any colour that comes into fashion. The lighting was carefully designed to emphasise the items being displayed. The use of mirror was used to increase the sense of space.
